About Mushroom Leaf: An unusual and very popular herb with a fast growing, upright, bushy habit. Its attractive, glossy green foliage contains large amounts of iron, vitamin C and beta carbonate and have a taste uncannily similar to mushrooms. The leaves have a crispy texture similar to spinach and can be eaten raw added to a salad or anywhere you want to add a mushroom flavour without the mushroom texture. The flavour can be increased by cooking the leaves making this an ideal herb for adding to soups and stews however the leaves can lose their bright green colour if overcooked. A must have for any culinary herb grower.
Grows to a height of around 50cm and spreads to around the same.
